SHOP TALK: MEET VICTORY BICYCLE STUDIO.
Q: Tell us about your shop. Who are you, what part of the world do you call home. What makes your shop special.
Victory Bicycle Studio is a Memphis-born, community-driven bicycle shop that’s been serving riders since 2010. What started as a 550 sq ft space with a dream has grown into a nationally recognized studio shipping bikes all over the country—while still holding onto that local, neighborhood shop feel.
I’m Clark Butcher, founder of Victory, and at our core—we’re not just selling bikes, we’re building riders. We’ve helped thousands of people go from “I just bought a bike” to completing their first 50-mile ride, 100-mile ride, and coached over 80 riders earning Leadville 100 belt buckles.
What makes Victory special is the balance—we’re deeply rooted in Memphis culture and community, but we also operate at a high-performance level with premium brands, custom builds, and nationwide delivery. Whether you're walking in for your first bike or building a dream machine, you’re treated the same way—with energy, honesty, and a genuine desire to see you win on the bike.
THE RIDING
Q: Is there a type of bike or discipline your shop caters to, or are you generalists?
We’re proud generalists—but with a performance edge.
Road, gravel, mountain, triathlon, e-bikes—we live in all of it. But more importantly, we understand why someone rides, and we meet them there. That might mean helping a brand-new rider feel confident clipping in for the first time, or building a fully customized aero race bike for someone chasing watts and podiums.
Gravel has been a huge area of growth for us, over the past 8 years. Especially with bikes like the Ventum GS1!! It’s opened the door for more riders to explore, push limits, and ride year-round, all while staying safe from traffic! That blend of performance and accessibility is something we’re incredibly passionate about.
At the end of the day, we’re less focused on categories—and more focused on progression. Wherever you’re starting, we’re here to help you go further.
THE COMMUNITY
Q: How can locals (and visitors) take part in your shop culture? Any notable group rides, community workshops, or other things?
This is where Victory truly comes alive.
Our shop culture is built around getting people on bikes together. We host structured training groups throughout the year, including our Summer Training Group where hundreds of riders come together every Sunday to build fitness, confidence, and community. For many, it’s life-changing. (Just to make sure you read that correctly....YES, we have Sunday rides that bring 200+ riders, every Sunday, for 4 months straight! Yeah, its fuggin awesome!)
We also host off-the-bike clinics, women-specific rides through our Victory Women initiative, gravel intro sessions, morning indoor Spin Classes at the Studio, and seasonal ride series that keep people engaged year-round. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, there’s a place for you here.
For visitors—roll into Memphis and you’ve got a ride waiting. We’ll point you to our favorite routes, get your bike dialed, and likely invite you to join a ride that same weekend.
There’s a phrase we live by: Activity breeds activity.
And when you step into Victory, you feel that immediately.
