His exceptional performance in the local race caught the eye of talent scouts, leading to his inclusion in the British Triathlon Federation's performance pathways. As a rising star in the triathlon world, Lindars represented Great Britain in numerous European sprint races, achieving a notable triumph with a bronze medal at the European Youth Relay Championships in 2013. His dedication and consistent success propelled him to turn professional in late 2019, and since then, he has steadily climbed the ranks to establish himself as a prominent figure in the elite echelons of the sport.
