EMPYR Cycling is a Salt Lake City-based Domestic Elite Cycling Team dedicated to criterium racing. In 2022, the team focused on the American Criterium Cup and series racing at the national level. EMPYR Cycling is proud to represent all Utah cycling companies. The name 'EMPYR' (pronounced empire) represents the powerhouse that is cycling in Utah. The team's mission is to help build back road racing in Utah by identifying talent in high school mountain bike riders and helping them to discover criterium racing. By offering guidance, experience, and opportunity to race, we hope to cultivate the next generation of road racers who will one day compete at the highest level of cycling in the United States, and possibly the world.
