Climbing Podiums and Turning Heads
At IRONMAN Lake Placid, Ventum Pro Justin Daerr podiumed in third place!
Six weeks ago I went through my hardest experience I've had in racing. Shortly after Ironman Boulder I felt like the best way for me to move forward was to get back out on a race course as soon as possible. The theory was good, but the execution was very trying. I struggled to train and lacked a lot of mental focus. Two weeks ago I thought there was no way I would be racing. But fortunately I am surrounded by great people in my life and they got me out the door and got me out of my own way. And today I had the opportunity to toe the line at Ironman Lake Placid, taking home the final podium spot with 3rd overall. Thank you all for the continued support and thanks to everyone in Placid for the cheers out on the course.
Ventum Pro Greg Close was right up with Daerr, and finished in fourth place.
From Greg Close’s TriBy3 team were Isaac Keselman, Paul Dauber, and Sean Goodlet, all finishers at Lake Placid! It was easy to spot who is who on the course, with each having a Ventum color of their own.
Though, Triathlete Kathryn Murtagh, a finisher at the Challenge Iceland race, certainly stood out with the range of colors on her Ventum!
Ventum Pro Cody Beals races this weekend at IRONMAN 70.3 Ecuador on July 30! He will be defending his title as last year’s winner!
Ventum Pro Cameron Dye was featured in the August issue of Lava Magazine! Be sure to check it out.
